Ommatius came twelfth.114 He was descended from a senatorial family and was a native of Clermont-Ferrand. He possessed a great amount of land. When he drew up bis will, he distributed bis property among the churches near which the land lay. He restored the church consecrated to the relics of Saint Gervasius and Saint Protasius, inside Tours, near the city wall. He began to build Saint Mary's church within the walls, but be left it unfinished. Ommatius occupied the see for four years and five months. When he died he was buried in Saint Martin's church.

Injuriosus was fifteenth.117 He was a citizen of Tours. He came from a poor family, but he was born free. Queen Clotild died during his episcopate.118 He finished building Saint Mary's church within the walls of Tours. It was also in his time that the church of Saint Germanus was built, and that the villages of Neuilly and Luzille were constructed. He instituted the saying of tierce and sext in the cathedral. This still continues today, in the name of God. Injuriosus occupied the see for sixteen years, eleven months and twenty-six days. When he died he was buried in Saint Martin's church.

Deutsch, p.409,411

Latin, p.408,410

XII.

XV. Iniuriosus, civis Turonicus, de inferioribus quidem populi, ingenuus tamen3. Huius tempore Chrodieldis regina transiit. Hie peraedi:ficavit ecclesiam sanctae Mariae infra muros urbis Turonicae4.

*Some sort of pattern about someone else finishing the building of something.

Notes:

- finish building later
